Introduction
All email for the Physics department is provided by Nexus365, the University’s instance of the cloud-based Microsoft Office 365 service, providing email, calendaring and access to a number of other Office 365 applications. Nexus365 is a central service provided to Oxford University by IT Services Nexus365
Nexus365 requires the use of a new multi-factor authentication system (MFA) to access services associated with your account.

Download and install Thunderbird mail from Thunderbird.net
click on "Manual config" and fill in field as shown below
Download and install Thunderbird mail from Thunderbird.net.
Making sure it is version 78.4.3 or newer.
Install the latest version of thunderbird mail, 78.4.3 or above. Open terminal and type in this command.
sudo snap install thunderbird
Open Thunderbird mail and follow these instructions:
Enter your name and SSO Email address. Then click on "Manual config"
The migration from the Physics Exchange Server to Nexus 365 took place over the weekend of 2-5th March 2018. Please see below for a list of issues and their status.

This article applies to Group B which contains those people who have been using both the Physics server and the Nexus service. The final stages of the migration of group B started on Friday 2nd March at around 2300 and should complete in stages over the weekend with all data transferred before the start of the working week.

When moving from the Physics Exchange server to Nexus 365 it is inevitable that you will need to create a new email account in your Apple mail client as you will be connecting to a completely different server. Although the situation with moving from Nexus to Nexus 365 is different, our experience is that a new account is also required.
