Professor Sir Christopher Llewellyn Smith will be giving a lecture, ‘Sustainable Energy for the World?’ , at Fundacion Ramon Areces (Madrid) on Wednesday 2nd October.
Alumni Event in Sydney
Professor Roger Davies and Dr Chris Lintott will be hosting an alumni drinks reception at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney on September 22nd, 16:00hs, following Dr Lintott's public lecture 'How to find a planet from your sofa?'.
There will be a series of talks and other events during that day and following week, as part of the Galaxy Evolution Conference.

Lady Mitchell
I am sorry to report that Lady (Margaret) Mitchell, widow of Sir William (Bill) Mitchell – one time Dr Lee’s Professor, died on Sunday 25 August.
The funeral will be a private family affair. There will however be memorial service in Somerville Chapel at 2 p.m. on Monday 7 October.
