Saturday Morning of Theoretical Physics
Members of the Rudolf Peierls Centre for Theoretical Physics host a morning of Theoretical Physics roughly three times a year on a Saturday morning. The talks are posted on the web so you can watch any you have missed.
The morning consists of three talks pitched to explain an area of our research to an audience familiar with physics at about the second-year undergraduate level and is open to all Oxford Alumni.
SATURDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2015 10.00 - 13.00
There will be three 40 minute talks in the Dennis Sciama Theatre, of the Denys Wilkinson Building:
'Henry G.J. Moseley: Physicist and Soldier' Alumni Networking Event
Alumni Event at the *new* Museum of the Soldiers of Oxfordshire, Woodstock.
During 2015 we will be celebrating and honouring the life of physicist and alumnus Henry Moseley, who made incredible achievements for science during his time in Oxford, before going to WWI. He was killed in Gallipoli in August 1915.
The new museum 'Soldiers of Oxfordshire' in the beautiful location of Woodstock, Oxfordshire, will be our venue for this Alumni event. All Oxford Physics alumni, friends and family are welcome.
The Henry Moseley Society Inaugural Event
Henry Moseley Society Inaugural event
The Henry Moseley Society will host its inaugural event in Oxford, on Tuesday 19 May, 2015.
After a private tour of this Spring's Special Henry Moseley Exhibition at the Museum of the History of Science, there will be a lecture and dinner (in hall) at Trinity College.
This is a members only event.
