Known issues
Our current website has a range of known accessibility issues. While we have addressed as many of these issues as possible, we are in the process of developing a brand new accessible site which will go live early 2021.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Issues with content being perceivable
WCAG 2.1 1.1 Text alternatives
Not all content has a suitable text alternative or it is identical to the link text; we continue to monitor our most visited pages and make required edits
WCAG 2.1 1.2 Time-based media
Work to caption our multimedia content is ongoing and will be mandatory for our new website.
WCAG 2.1 1.4.5 Images of text
Not all of our images are free of text so where possible, we are changing these. This will be part of the web editing guidelines for our new website.
Issues with content being operable
WCAG 2.1 2.1 Keyboard accessible
Not all of our content can be navigated solely with the keyboard; we are not able to remedy this on our current site without significant development work but this will be addressed with our new website
WCAG 2.1 2.2 Enough time
Our homepage carousel can only be controlled using the mouse; this cannot be remedied without significant development work
WCAG 2.1 2.4.4/2.4.9 Link purpose
Some link text doesn’t make sense when read on its own; we continue to monitor our most visited pages and make required edits.
WCAG 2.1 2.4.10 Section headings
Some headings are not properly nested; we continue to monitor our most visited pages and make required edits
