Abstract:
Using data collected with the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we determine the ratio [Formula presented] for the mean charged multiplicity observed in [Formula presented] events, [Formula presented], to the mean charged multiplicity observed in [Formula presented] events, [Formula presented]. We find [Formula presented] [Formula presented] for jet-jet masses less than 7 GeV. © 1997 The American Physical Society.Study of the decay τ− → 2π−π+3π0vT

Abstract:
We use the CLEO detector at the Cornell e+e− storage ring, CESR, to search for the two-photon production of the glueball candidate fj(2220) in its decay to K8K8. We present a restrictive upper limit on the product of the two-photon partial width and the K8K8 branching fraction, (γγγBK8K8)fj(2220). We use this limit to calculate a lower limit on the stickiness, which is a measure of the two-gluon coupling relative to the two-photon coupling. This limit on stickiness indicates that the fj(2220) has substantial glueball content. © 1997 The American Physical Society.[Formula presented] helicity from [Formula presented] energy correlations

Abstract:
We report a measurement of the magnitude of the [Formula presented] helicity from [Formula presented]-pair events taken with the CLEO detector at the CESR electron-positron storage ring. Events in which each [Formula presented] undergoes the decay [Formula presented], with [Formula presented] a charged pion or kaon, are analyzed for energy correlations between the daughter hadrons, yielding [Formula presented] = [Formula presented], with the first error statistical and the second systematic. © 1997 The American Physical Society.Λ[Formula presented] production in two-photon interactions

Abstract:
Using the CLEO detector at the Cornell [Formula presented] storage ring CESR we study the two-photon production of Λ[Formula presented], making the first observation of γγ→Λ[Formula presented]. We present the cross section for γγ→Λ[Formula presented] as a function of the [Formula presented] center of mass energy and compare it to that predicted by the quark-diquark model. © 1997 The American Physical Society.First observation of tau->3 pi eta nu(tau) and tau->f(1)pi nu(tau) decays
