  • Proposed field and title of research project: Put "See research proposal"

  • College preference: AOPP has senior staff at, or historical links with, the following colleges: Jesus, Lady Margaret Hall, Linacre, Lincoln, Oriel, Pembroke, St Anne's, St Cross, St Hugh's, Trinity and Wolfson.
  • Dates unavailable for interview: Interviews for shortlisted UK/EU applicants will be held on 19-23 February - you need to be available during that period. Shortlisted overseas candidates will be interviewed via Skype earlier in February.

You will need to upload the following:

  • Official transcript of your undergraduate/Masters course(s)
  • Curriculum vitae/resume
  • Research proposal: To help us match applicants to projects/research areas please list up to four (no more!) potential supervisors in order of preference in your research proposal. We are looking for people who are able to study atmospheric, oceanic and planetary physics at a high academic level, and who can provide evidence of interest in these areas of physics and motivation to study it. You should certainly describe any research project that you have been involved in (e.g. an undergraduate research project) or give any other evidence of your motivation and commitment to studying these topics. You should also thoroughly review the information on our web pages, and if you have a specific interest in any area you should describe why. Please don't exceed 500 words (not including the supervisors' names).
