Philip Wetton Graduate Scholarship

The Philip Wetton Graduate Scholarship in Astrophysics at Christ Church

Mr. Philip Wetton has generously established a fund to provide a scholarship for European graduate students to study at Christ Church for a D.Phil. in astrophysics. It is expected that the scholarship will typically contribute to the living expenses of a student who has a separate source of funding for university and college fees, for up to three years. The scholarship will be awarded by the Governing Body of Christ Church on the basis of academic and financial need. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduate student starting his or her course in October 2020.

Applications should be made in writing, and should take the form of a letter describing the research area that the applicant is interested in pursuing, a curriculum vitae and a statement of any funding for graduate study either that has been obtained already or that is being applied for. There is no application form for this scholarship, but applicants should nominate Christ Church as their preferred college in their Oxford University graduate application form. Applications should be sent to the Astrophysics Graduate Admissions Administrator, Denys Wilkinson Building, Keble Road, Oxford OX1 3RH. Applications should preferably be sent at the time that applications for graduate study are submitted, and no later than 24 January 2020.
