Physics teaching arrangements in Trinity term 2021

Practicals/laboratory work

Due to a reduction in the capacity of the labs, the requirements and arrangements for labs in the coming academic year will also be different to normal. The changes will mean:

•In-person practicals are available but must be booked by emailing labhelp@physics.ox.ac.uk
•Some experiments will be online, some performing analysis of previously collected data, so it will be expected that students will have access to their own or use of a college computer
•The general computing facilities in the teaching laboratories will be closed
•The latest information can be found on the relevant Canvas courses: prelims, part A and part B.

Lectures

Lectures will be delivered remotely in Trinity term. Individual lecturers have decided how best to deliver their courses, and this will range from recordings being made available in Canvas/Panopto to live lectures on Zoom (which will also be recorded). Some lecturers will be available for live Q&A sessions either during or after their lecture series. Links to lecture materials and recordings can be found at the pages below.

Please note: not all lecture recordings are available before the timetabled lecture – this includes the induction talks which are only made available on the day they are scheduled.
