Registration required - please fill out this form to register for this event
Join us on the hunt for the elusive magnetic monopole!

You will probably know that magnets have two poles: North and South. Could we ever find a magnet with just one of these poles - a 'magnetic monopole'? What would that even look like?

In this 45 minute workshop, we will see what happens if you cut a magnet in half and what this means for the hunt for a magnetic monopole. There will also be an activity where you can try to hunt for these magnetic monopoles yourself! This activity will be emailed to all those who register as a pdf and can be printed off before the session to complete by hand, or can be done on your computer screen if you prefer.

The workshop will be aimed at students in KS3, although younger and older students might also enjoy the session!
