The event

Staff and volunteers from the University of Oxford and British Physics Olympiad Trust will provide guidance and resources on helping your students to develop advanced problem solving skills in physics. The day will cover extending able students in class through providing extension classes to help them explore their interest in physics.

The Abingdon Science Partnership have teamed up with Isaac Physics and the University of Oxford Physics Department to offer an exciting end of term experience which aims to stretch and challenge Year 12 Physics students. We aim to help students improve their problem solving skills within a scientific context, a key requirement for students who wish to study STEM subjects at university.

We are delighted to announce that we will be visiting JET at Culham on June 9th. for our Special Event.
Due to the nature of the experiment, we are restricted in the number of guests we can take (50 only), so we will book places on a first come, first served basis.

Professor Dr Immanuel Bloch, Max-Planck Institute of Quantum Optics, Garching & Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich will deliver the 57th Cherwell-Simon Lecture.

This is a free event and the general public are welcome. Registration not required. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception.
