Isaac Physics Yr12 Day (Vectors)
Event details
Are you...
- aiming for A* to B grade in A-Level Physics and Maths?
- hoping to study Physics, Engineering or Maths at a top university?
- keen to improve your problem solving skills?
- want to find out more about further education and STEM careers?
Aims
This free workshop aims to develop each student's confidence and problem solving skills in a core area of physics by tackling a range of examples from idealised problems through to real-world situations. Students will be guided through the problem solving process, and will solve a range of unusual problems with help and guidance.
During the day, there will also be an admissions talk from the University of Oxford Physics Department and a sample university lecture.
Refreshments during the day are provided but lunch is not provided, so please bring a packed lunch. There may be a travel grant available should this otherwise be a barrier to a student attending the workshop. Please contact us individually if this is required.
Target Audience
End-of-AS-Level students, who are aiming to achieve A* to B grades in both Physics and Maths A-Level.
Preparation
Guidance and pre-workshop tasks will be emailed upon registration. Read and follow the instructions to secure your place. Pre-workshop tasks must be completed at least three days prior to the workshop.
