Mental Health Support

As well as physical ill-health, mental health problems can affect any of us at any time. Anxiety and stress can be a routine part of life, but if persistent can lead to serious health problems. While a common condition, it can be hard to talk about mental health problems or know that there's someone to talk to.

If you are experiencing a period of mental ill-health, there are a number of options available to you for support and help.

For work related issues please contact the Occupational Health Service. You may also want to talk to your supervisor, head of (sub-)department, Human Resources or the departmental Harassment Advisors for advice. You might also consider speaking with your GP, practice nurse or personal counsellor.

The Occupational Health unit provides support on issues such as Stress, Depression, Bullying & Harassment and provide confidential Staff Counselling
