Mechanical Workshop

We provide manufacturing and technical support for Projects across all the Physics Sub-departments, other Departments within the University and external collaborators.

About us

Our workshops, located within Physics, work closely together coordinated by our two Workshop Supervisors to ensure we meet the standards and deadlines that we commit to.

Currently, there are 16 technicians on site with a large experience on the field and a wide range of engineering skills.

The scope of our facilities allows the Department to produce a wide range of components, from precision parts to large fabricated assemblies, many of which operate in hostile environments, cryogenic temperatures and high vacuum.
