Post-doctoral Research Assistant

I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Ultrafast Quantum Optics & Optical Metrology group of Prof. Ian Walmsley and part of the Quantum Simulations subgroup led by Dr. Joshua Nunn. I specialize in optical cavity based quantum optics and simulators of coherent energy transport. My work is supported by the Oxford Martin School Programme on Bio-Inspired Quantum Technologies. I completed my Ph.D. at Cornell University in the U.S. in the group of Prof. Alexander Gaeta. There I demonstrated a new type of chip-based optical switch based on stimulated Raman scattering in silicon micro-ring cavities, and I developed new theoretical understanding of Kerr cavity soliton formation in micro-resonator based frequency combs.
