Postdoctoral Research Assistant

I am a postdoctoral research assistant in the Predictability of Weather and Climate group, working on reduced-precision weather forecasting techinques. My current focus is on the application of reduced precision on variational data assimilation.

I previously worked on moving mesh methods for global atmospheric modelling, with Chris Budd at the University of Bath. I did my PhD at Imperial College London, under the supervision of Colin Cotter and David Ham; my thesis is Compatible finite element methods for atmospheric dynamical cores.

I have contributed towards the fantastic Firedrake project for the highly automated solution of partial differential equations using the finite element method.
