Post-doctoral Research Fellow

I am a postdoc in the theoretical cosmology group, and a Fellow of St John's College.

My research revolves around galaxy dynamics, morphology and phenomenology. I use these to learn about the galaxy-halo connection and galaxy formation, on the one hand, and modified gravity on the other. In particular, among the questions that interest me are the following: Is standard galaxy formation in LCDM consistent with galaxies' dynamical scaling relations? What are the correlations between galaxy and halo properties beyond the stellar mass--halo mass relation, and how best to infer these? What are the galaxy-scale consequences of modified gravity theories motivated at cosmological scales? Can galaxies afford tests of GR that are competitive and/or complementary to others?
