Origin Installation Notes .
Make sure that you have performed the preceding steps of the Origin Quick Installation Summary before proceeding with this.
You may do the following when installing Origin. Note that details may differ with different versions of Origin and system conditions.
Ensure that you save the details of the serial number and licence server information to separate files on a local disk before starting the installation.

Location Definitions for Use of Software
System Connected to the Physics Network
Connected to the Physics network, directly or via VPN.
System Connected to the University Network
Connected to the University network, directly or via VPN.
University-Owned System
System purchased by or gifted to the University and Owned by the Collegiate University.
Personally-Owned System
System owned by the user and not by the University.
Standalone
Standalone can mean anywhere but some software may be restricted by location.

User Status Definitions for use of Software.
Undergraduate
Someone whose official University Status is "Undergraduate". Someone whose official status is "Student" may be an undergraduate: that would need to be checked with the student's supervisor.
Postgraduate
Someone whose official University Status is "Postgraduate". Someone whose official status is "Student" may be a Postgraduate: that would need to be checked with the student's supervisor.
Staff
Someone whose official University Status is "Staff".

Physics no longer has a site license this is for information only.
At the end of the installation procedure you will have LabVIEW with a 30-day evaluation licence.
In order to use the site licence you must activate LabVIEW over the network for which you should be connected to the University network.
