Book soon to avoid disappointment - HAPP event

A Nobel Laureate panel will discuss their choices for "The Greatest Physics Discovery of the 20th Century" in an event taking place on July 31st.

Confirmed panellists are:
Professor Steven Weinberg ForMemRS (Nobel Prize in Physics, 1979)
Professor William Phillips (Nobel Prize in Physics, 1997)
Professor Sir Anthony Leggett FRS (Nobel Prize in Physics, 2003)
Professor John Mather (Nobel Prize in Physics, 2006)

This is an event organised by The St Cross Centre for the History and Philosophy of Physics (HAPP)

Keeping our physics alumni community connected

We have been very busy in our social media pages, but we have realised not everybody uses them, so I will post here, on a weekly basis, a selection of news and videos, lectures any other things that may be interesting to the Physics Alumni Community.
Of course, the main source of Physics News is in our main page...these would be updates from colleagues, or 'other news'.

Very successful first online alumni event

'The Idea of Particle Physics'

Our first alumni event online took place on the 20th of June, with more than 300 registrants from all over the world.
