Alumna Jean Chu visits the Department and meets with Oxford Women in Physics

13 November 2014 by Valeria Crowder

Today we had a wonderful visit from alumna Jean Chu (St Hugh's), who met with the Oxford Women in Physics group in the Common Room (Clarendon Lab) during one of their regular meetings.

Jean shared some experiences of what it was like to be a female student of physics in the late 50's, and her career afterwards.

You may have seen Jean in the latest issue of the Physics newsletter (sent by post together with the 'Oxford Today' issue).
If not, you can read more about her on the 'Alumni Stories' section, page 11 of the latest issue of the Physics newsletter.

Their t-shirts are for sale in the Clarendon Laboratory Reception.
