Physics Open Day - Alumni Weekend

Department of Physics Open Day - Saturday 21st of September

We will have an open café, hands on exhibitions, posters, the opportunity to chat with current members of staff, and have a fantastic time at Physics.
Please book for the following free events (email Val Crowder . All will take place at the Martin Wood Complex (next to the Clarendon Laboratory, Parks Rd, OX1 3PU):

1pm - Tour of the Department of Physics (maximum 20 people). Duration 45 minutes approx.
2.15pm - Dr Ranah Irshad, ‘ Exploring the Universe’. Duration 45 minutes.
3.30pm - Dr Laure Zanna, ‘Climate change and the Oceans’
5pm - Dr John Wheater (Head of Department), Emeritus Professor Derek Stacey and Dr Jay Watson (alumnus), Main lecture: ‘Oxford Physics in the 21st Century’, followed by a drinks reception. Duration 2 hours.

* Please note that access to some areas of the Department may be inaccessible for those with pacemakers. Please let us know of any mobility or health concerns when booking, or contact Val Crowder to enquire.
The Martin Wood complex and the Department of Physics are wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
