Physics Teaching Laboratories
Welcome

Welcome to the Physics Teaching Laboratories at Oxford!
The Physics Teaching Labs occupy a large part of levels 1 and 2 of the Denys Wilkinson Building, with around ten separate laboratories, computer rooms, workshops, staff offices and a rest area.
We provide all the practical physics needs of the Oxford Physics degree courses, and our teaching laboratories are subject-specific, covering basic first year courses in, for example, computing and electronics, to our particle accelerator used in advanced experiments by final year students. We also host outreach events, talks and workshops related to physics teaching and communication.
The foyer and computing facilities are available to Oxford Physics students all the time the labs are staffed (usually around 8am - 5.30pm Monday-Friday).
Demonstrators are available to help with practical work when the labs are open for teaching, please see the timetable.
