Our Research Program

Oxford have one of the broadest and most comprehensive research programs on ATLAS, maximizing the opportunity for discovery. A discovery could be made indirectly through precision measurements of the Higgs boson’s properties or Standard Model phenomena, or directly through the observation of one or more new particles. In all cases we are at the forefront of key data analyses. In addition, the program benefits from overlap such as common final states, for example jets or leptons and missing transverse energy, and tools for the analysis of boosted topologies. The synergies within the program enable us to cover a substantial fraction of the possible new physics at the LHC, and makes the Oxford ATLAS group internationally one of a handful of groups supporting such an extensive research program.
