Nexus365 Migration for Apple Systems

This webpage describes how to delete your existing email accounts and add Nexus 365.

When moving from the Physics Exchange server to Nexus 365 it is inevitable that you will need to create a new email account in your Apple mail client as you will be connecting to a completely different server. Although the situation with moving from Nexus to Nexus 365 is different, our experience is that a new account is also required.

WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS REPORTS OF AUTHENTICATION ISSUES WITH APPLE SYSTEMS RUNNING OS X 10.10.5 YOSEMITE OR EARLIER. THEREFORE IF YOU ARE RUNNING THESE OPERATING SYSTEMS WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU UPGRADE THE SYSTEM

A FEW PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED PROBLEMS WITH WHEN THEY MISSED THE FOLLOWING STEP OUT SO PLEASE REMOVE THE OLD ACCOUNT FIRST.

First close Apple mail and delete your existing email accounts either for the Physics Exchange server or Nexus by opening System Preferences > Internet Accounts. Then highlight the email account you wish to delete and click the "-" Delete icon in the lower left of the dialog box and delete the selected account.

Outlook 2016 for Mac

Open Outlook 2016 from the Applications folder and then click on Tools > Accounts. Highlight the email account you wish to delete and then click on the "-" Delete icon in the lower left of the dialog box then select Delete.

How to setup Apple Mail to use IMAP/SMTP to connect to Nexus365

You may wish to setup Apple Mail to connect to Nexus365 via IMAP/SMTP. You may wish to do this if you would like to send emails from more than one email address on Nexus365.
