MATLAB Installation Instructions for 7.6 and later Linux Notes

Remaining Instructions for Installing MATLAB 7.6 (R2008a) and Later on Linux.

A MATLAB licence is needed.

(Please see the general MATLAB installation instructions before following these Linux-specific instructions.)

MATLAB Root Directory Window
Accept the default location.

File Installation Key Window
In the box labelled Provide File Installation Key? paste in the File Installation Key .

OK

Installation Options Window
Install All components.

Installation Data
Check Create symbolic links to MATLAB scripts if you want links to
MATLAB commands. On standard configurations /usr/local/bin is a good choice.

OK

License File Window
Browse to the location of the file in which you have saved the contents of the licence file . (If you select the Browse option the file can have any name but other options may require the name to be license.lic, license.dat, etc)
When browsing select the "All file types" or "Any file type" option.

OK

Begin Installation Window
Click on OK to start the installation.
