Central Physics website

If you are a newcomer, please see the newcomers' guide to the web

In this transition period, our web presence is spread across two main websites, an older Windows based system due to be decommissioned in 2015 (with urls that begin with www.physics.ox.ac.uk) and a newer Drupal based system (with urls that begin with www2.physics.ox.ac.uk.) There is information on how to edit pages for both systems. In addition users with more complex requirements than can be catered for by the main physics websites may create additional pages in html format.

New website (www2)

This is now the main Physics website and will be the first thing people interested in Oxford Physics will see. Please try to keep your and your group infomation up to date and relevant. Information can be found at https://www2.physics.ox.ac.uk/it-new/categories/web. Alternatively, the links on the right explain how to do many common things on the new website.

User webpages (users)

This is a more flexible area provided for people to add more detailed or diverse content compared to the main website. Not everyone will need to use it. This is a more traditional webpace for writing html and javascript pages. More information can be found here.

Old website (www)

The old website is based on Windows 2003 IIS. Information on how to edit those pages may be found on the old website.

If there is anything that you feel needs better explanation, please email physicsweb@physics.ox.ac.uk
