Headlines

- We support a number of Linux machines throughout the department for office, data acquisition and compute use. These are based on the Ubuntu OS.
- We have a standard installation scripts for Ubuntu desktop, server and laptop platforms.
- We offer a choice of storing your files locally on the machine and managing backups yourself, or using a private network location to store files. Currently this is limited to 75G per person.
- We can provide on request a share of standard webservers to store flat html files or drupal 6.0 sites.
- We allow any software from the standard Ubuntu and partner repositories to be installed on request, however we only can offer support for the default desktop GUI (currently unity).
