Students: Schools are invited to bring up to 3 teams of 5 students at Key Stage 3

Physics Challenge Day Summary
Students will complete a series of activities and technological challenges, all of which are designed to explore magnetism and electromagnetism, and specifically to enable them to:

  • undertake hands on experiments
  • explore new concepts with the support of a graduate student
  • take an alternative approach to reinforce curriculum topics
  • work collaboratively
  • explain ideas clearly

Physics Challenge Day Aims

  • Motivate students to attend science clubs
  • Encourage the take up of triple science
  • Experience ‘real life problem solving’
  • Focus on core physics topics
  • Develop knowledge of applied physics and practical skills
