I am a D.Phil. student in CMP, where I work with Prof. Thorsten Hesjedal in the MBE group. I am a magnetic domain engineer, and my current project is to study the magnetic skyrmions materials. My experimental tasks include exploring and synthesising new 2D skyrmion materials by both MBE and magnetron sputtering techniques, as well as characterising the magnetic structure using neutron and synchrotron x-ray scattering methods.
I am a SRC funded student, with the aim to fabricate advanced non-volatile memory and logic devices based on the anomalous/topological Hall effect. Based on the novel spintronics devices (extraordinary Hall balance and magnetic abacus ) that we have recently developed, an all-Hall-based computational system can be realised. The fabrication of a skyrmion version for such system is to be implemented.
