My research focus is astronomical instrumentation. I am Principal Investigator for HARMONI, a first light instrument for the European Extremely Large Telescope. I am also PI of the SWIFT integral Field Spectrograph, a common-user facility at the Palomar 200 inch telescope.
I am a Senior Research Lecturer in Physics at Lady Margaret Hall. I tutor physics undergraduates in Optics (1st and 2nd year), Mechanics and Special Relativity (1st year)
I am an elected member of the Physics Management Committee, and serve as chair of the Equality and Diversity Committee, and the Postdoc Liaison Committee. Within Astrophysics, I serve on the sub-dept finance committee.
