Andrew O'Bannon

Royal Society University Research Fellow

I am a University Research Fellow of the Royal Society and a Junior Research Fellow of Balliol College.

My research is focused on applications of holography, also known as gauge-gravity duality or the Anti-de Sitter/Conformal Field Theory (AdS/CFT) correspondence, to the study of systems involving strongly-interacting degrees of freedom. Examples of such systems are the quark-gluon plasma created in heavy ion collisions and high-temperature cuprate superconductors.

I am a member of the Oxford Holography Group and the Oxford String Theory Group and the Oxford Particle Theory group (link below).
