Postdoctoral Research Assistant

I have been a postdoc in the Oxford LHCb group since October 2016, having completed my PhD with the group previously. My research focuses on the study of heavy flavour beauty meson decays, with particular focus on CP violation phenomena in B± → D(*)0 K± and B± → D(*)0 π± decays. I have also studied Bc meson decays to the same final states, observing the Bc± → D0 K± decay for the first time using LHCb data collected during Run 1 of LHC operation. This was the first observation of a non tree-level Bc meson decay.

I am currently a convenor of the Particle ID & Calorimeter Objects working group, and a member of both the Physics Planning Group and Operations Planning Group. As part of my Particle ID responsibilities, I maintain and develop the PIDCalib package used across many LHCb analyses to measure the efficiency of particle identification requirements.
