Starting with a background in Microbiology and Molecular Biology, I came to Oxford in 2005 to do a PhD in Prof Armitage's lab in the Biochemistry Dept. I worked on the bacterial flagellar motor and the signal transduction pathway that controls its output. During my PhD I started a collaboration with Dr Berry's lab in Physics. After completing my PhD in 2009 I continue to manage this highly successful collaboration as a Post Doc.
